The study of selected issues of the network topology uses a mathematical model of fluid flow approximations, which is based on mean value analysis. The model describes the effects of time varying packet traffic on the network switches and packet loss generation by the assumptions of active queue management mechanisms used in routers. The computations are due to our new software tool.
