Developing an Internet XML application exploiting directory services

The concept of directory services and methods of access to them is described. The architecture of web applications is also presented. Different approaches to building a web application are considered. Next, the performance of several solutions for a specified environment is evaluated and the results are discussed. To conclude, the author’s web application is mentioned.
