IITiS PAN has joined the project titled “Reliable Electronics for Active Systems of the Future” (ReACTIVE Too). The project is being carried out as part of the international HORYZONT 2020 program under the “Maria Skłodowska-Curie” (MSCA) actions. Its goal is to conduct research on the reliability design of electronic systems, including the introduction of an agile hardware development cycle using virtual techniques, which will support the validation of active safety systems.
The ReACTIVE Too project brings together a unique team of academic and industry members, forming a close-knit consortium to address the challenges related to the reliability and future development of electronic systems. European organizations from Finland, France, Poland, and the United Kingdom are participating in the project, representing both industry and academia.
IITiS PAN will participate in the project (under WP1, WP2, WP3, and WP4), contributing to tasks related to the forecasting and reliability of electronic systems implemented in user applications, as well as safety. IITIS will be responsible for analyzing data on the degradation and failure of electronic systems. This will include the development of degradation models based on Physics of Failure (PoF) methods. IITiS will participate in tasks related to simulations, including finite element methods. These simulations are aimed, among other things, at optimizing energy efficiency. IITiS will participate in organizing workshops and seminars focused on the application of deep learning methods, as well as on the reliability of materials and electronic systems. These workshops will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience among project participants.
