Workshop „Advances and Challenges of AI"

The Academia Europaea's Informatics Section, with the support of the Wrocław Hub of Academia Europaea, is organizing the next "Advances and Challenges of AI" workshop, to be held on November 16–17, 2026, in the historic center of Wrocław. Particular interest is directed toward issues related to the use of artificial intelligence for scientific discovery and support for mathematical proofs, as well as its applications in digital twins, software engineering, cybersecurity and system vulnerability analysis, and the management of edge systems. Appropriate computer architectures for AI and their associated energy consumption will also be an important area of discussion. On behalf of Prof. Erol Gelenbe, Chair of the Academia Europaea's Informatics Section, we invite you to take part in the workshop.

The Wrocław workshop is the third of its kind, following those held in London in 2024 and in Paris in 2025. Speakers at those events included both The Academia Europaea's Informatics Section, with the support of the Wrocław Hub of Academia Europaea, is organising the next "Advances and Challenges of AI" workshop, to be held on November 16–17, 2026, in the historic centre of Wrocław.. In 2026, the number of participants will be limited to 50, including around 20 speakers as well as poster presentation authors. Participation in the event is free of charge. Coffee breaks and lunches will be funded by the Wrocław Hub of Academia Europaea. Participants can also take advantage of preferential accommodation rates at local hotels and in university dormitories. The Polish Neural Network Society is also involved in organizing the workshop.

Those interested in attending in person, giving a talk, or presenting research results as a posterAcademia Europaea members and participants from outside the organisation are asked to send information about their interest (and, if possible, a proposed title for their talk or poster) to seg@iitis.pl by June 30, 2026.
