The Italian city of Genoa has become a hub for international scientific debate. The official sessions of the MASCOTS conference have just begun, bringing together experts in the modeling, analysis, and simulation of computer and telecommunications systems.

This year marks the 34th edition of MASCOTS, which has attracted over 100 submissions, with an acceptance rate of 23% for the main conference.

On October 14th–16th we organized the PACK Horizon Project General Assembly. Consortium partners have come together to celebrate progress, exchange insights and shape the next phase of the journey. The goal of the project is to use smart sensors and a high-tech customs seal to track goods in real time, prevent tampering and reduce unnecessary truck stops.

The Academia Europaea's Informatics Section, with the support of the Wrocław Hub of Academia Europaea, is organizing the next "Advances and Challenges of AI" workshop, to be held on November 16–17, 2026, in the historic center of Wrocław. Particular interest is directed toward issues related to the use of artificial intelligence for scientific discovery and support for mathematical proofs, as well as its applications in digital twins, software engineering, cybersecurity and system vulnerability analysis, and the management of edge systems.
