Abstract

Innovation and searching for new solutions is a key element of continuous improvement of railroad undertakings' safety management systems. Therefore, supporting the existing systems with IT solutions gives wide and new possibilities for presentation and analysis of data collected in different areas of railroad companies' operation. Such a situation occurs, among others, in the case of information on events and incidents occurring on the railroad network.

Open competition for a research assistant position in the Computer Systems Modelling and Performance Evaluation Group

We offer a position of an assistant in the area of development, testing and simulation of autonomous driving systems. The selected candidate will join the Computer Systems Modelling and Performance Evaluation Group at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IITiS PAN) in Gliwice.  The engaged researcher will participate in the Institute's activities related to research on security of autonomous driving systems and development of new solutions related to world perception and control of autonomous vehicles.

Open competition for post-doc position as part of the Sonata BIS 10 project entitled "Simulations of physical systems using near future annealing technology"

We offer full-time employment for a maximum period of 4.5 years as part of the Sonata BIS 10 project entitled "Simulations of physical systems using near future annealing technology". The position was financed by the National Science Center. The research area of the project is quantum computing, quantum programming (including quantum annealing), artificial intelligence and simulations of physical systems using near-future annealing technology at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
